Indra Ong
Director of Curriculum & Instruction
Indra Ong, M.S.Ed., is Director of Curriculum & Instruction at DAY ONE, where she leads the development of curriculum, teaching practice, and educator pathways. Her journey reflects the organization’s mission in action—she first joined as a parent, then became an apprentice and graduate of the Teacher Apprenticeship Pathway (TAP), later contributing to curriculum development before joining full-time. She brings more than 15 years of experience in education, including work as a literacy specialist, special education teacher, and curriculum consultant, with a focus on early learning and inclusion. Indra has helped strengthen apprenticeship systems, expand CDA pathways, and improve instructional quality. A proud DAY ONE parent, she is committed to supporting educators and ensuring every child has access to high-quality early learning.
When I was a kid
My favorite book was Harriet the Spy and I insisted on wearing a multi-pocket fanny pack as a utility belt on my spy missions around the neighborhood. I stocked it with all the essentials: notebook, pencils, magnifying glass, and snacks!
